What is A.M.P.I.

AMPI was started on November 14th, 1956, under the name of Mexican Union of Agents and Real Estate Administrators, A.C. and on February 16th, 1979, change its name for Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios.

AMPI is more than a Real Estate Business Owners Association, is an association of individuals, such as Real Estate Agents, Attorneys at Law, Notaries, Engineers, Architects, among of many other professional related to the Real Estate Industry.

AMPI has reached several goals at national level, has its own library, that in the beginning had only 116 books, Has its own magazine who published its first article thirteen years ago, has several publications, to have them available for its clients and associates their working policies and other several works related to the Real Estate Industry.All these tools are to assist its members and the consumers about the active policies and other related Industry topics of interest.

One of AMPI big steps was the creation of the ICAMPI (The AMPI training institute) which is one of its main supports.

It was in the 1980’s that AMPI’s growth rocketed and the creation of different sections spread geographically, across the nation.  It was not until 1997 when AMPI Los Cabos was formed as a Civil Association (non profit association).

Today, AMPI is a member of the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations that it is formed by 22 different countries around the world, with all of these associations AMPI has jointly worked at programs that has helped AMPI to reach some of its goals; one of them is to obtain the recognition before the Mexican Government of the need of a Real Estate License.

AMPI has also partnership with FIABCI (The international Federation of Real Estate Professionals) in Paris, France, With the National Association of Realtors in the USA, with the Canadian Real Estate Association of Canada and with the SECOVI in Brazil.

Day by day, AMPI has more recognition from all levels in Mexican Government, as well as other private organizations and chambers, has participated with them on developing programs related to this Real Estate industry, and has been a key player with many state governments and municipalities in this country.

In these days, AMPI works under the mission of being able to act as non-governmental organization, gathering with all those individuals who worked in the Real Estate, to act under common bylaws, code of Ethics, dignifying its integral professional formation.

AMPI, works under the Vision to be the Real Estate Institution, that will represent the Real Estate business in Mexico; to be an innovator of the Real Estate culture, based on the professional formation of its individuals, for them to be certified and to assist them to obtain their Real Estate License, having the National and International recognition of its associates.

AMPI’s philosophy is to develop and to evolve, to share the same vision, based on a level of trust to uniform its operational criteria’s under a Code of Ethics and to prevent that the Real Estate activities may be diminished or harmed in any way.

Congratulations to these pioneers of the Real Estate Industry in Los Cabos, we wish that their behave would be followed by the dozens of agents and brokers that are part of this industry in Los Cabos, and for to help make of this country a better one, helping all customers and developers to have more confidence in the legal security of their transactions.
