AMPI was started on November 14th, 1956, under the name of Mexican Union of Agents and Real Estate Administrators, A.C. and on February 16th, 1979, change its name for Asociacion Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios.

AMPI is more than a Real Estate Business Owners Association, is an association of individuals, such as Real Estate Agents, Attorneys at Law, Notaries, Engineers, Architects, among of many other professional related to the Real Estate Industry.

AMPI has reached several goals at national level, has its own library, that in the beginning had only 116 books, Has its own magazine who published its first article thirteen years ago, has several publications, to have them available for its clients and associates their working policies and other several works related to the Real Estate Industry.All these tools are to assist its members and the consumers about the active policies and other related Industry topics of interest.

One of AMPI big steps was the creation of the ICAMPI (The AMPI training institute) which is one of its main supports.

It was in the 1980’s that AMPI’s growth rocketed and the creation of different sections spread geographically, across the nation.  It was not until 1997 when AMPI Los Cabos was formed as a Civil Association (non profit association).
